with our plans to build Royd Court and in the summer of 2008 applied for accreditation. Through an amazing chain of circumstances, we received the accreditation we needed without any difficulty. The Lord's ways are not our ways. For forty years the Dorothea Trust cared for elderly Christians in its home in Bedford. As with many smaller providers, the increasing demands of changing legislation, coupled with compliance demands, made it increasingly difficult for the Trust to continue. The Trustees of the Dorothea Trust approached Pilgrim Homes with a view to us taking over the work. On November 1st, following a service of thanksgiving, the home became part of the Pilgrim Homes' family, and is now known as Dorothea Court. The Dorothea Trust was well known and respected locally for its Christian ethos and care of the elderly. Pilgrim Homes will seek to uphold the Christian witness, testimony and reputation of the home: just as the Dorothea Trust held fast to that which is good, so is our determined intention for the future of Dorothea Court. Indeed, in all our dealings, Pilgrim Homes continues to prayerfully continue in our God- given task of taking good care of older Christians, convinced that if we hold fast to God and all that is good, He will uphold us. This is our testimony for 2008 and we thank God for His faithfulness to us. www. pilgrimhomes. org. uk 7 " Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
